Being born in Trinidad and having lived in Canada for over 10 years, Lisa is a person between worlds. Her work comes out of meditation on the nuances of remembered moments and immersive experience. The distinctive colour palette of her paintings is heavily influenced by her Caribbean heritage. The unique spatial awareness apparent in her abstract work comes from her architectural education.
